A little prep and care goes a long way. Follow these steps for a flawless, longer-lasting tan.
Before your tan
- 1Shower, exfoliate, and shave 24 hours before your appointment.
- 2Arrive with clean skin — no lotion, makeup, deodorant, or perfume.
- 3Wear loose, dark clothing and open-toed shoes for after.
- 4Remove jewelry and plan to skip the gym right beforehand.
After your tan
- 1Wait 6–8 hours (or as advised) before your first rinse.
- 2Moisturize daily to extend and even out your glow.
- 3Avoid long hot showers, pools, and heavy sweating early on.
- 4Pat — don't rub — dry, and skip exfoliating until you're ready to refresh.
